President Obama said, "I do think at a certain point, you’ve made enough money". Since Liberals believe everything Obama believes, should the central government outlaw success?

Are you really concerned about this? I mean, you are posting on yahoo questions. Do you make tens of millions of dollars a year? I kinda doubt it. If you do, how many stretch hummers and houses in the Hamptons do you really need? Why should anyone be able to hoard money without limits when they profit off of a system that we all pay into and maintain?

Not at all. But how many houses, cars,boats and toys can an individual reasonably use and buy?
My wife asks the same of my electronics. I stopped buying any. I have enough flat panel televisions, monitors, computers and stereo gear. She was right.
I remember an article in the WSJ where a wife asked the same thing of her husband. He had said he wanted enough money for her and the kids to live if something happened to him.
She said "You made 15 million dollars last year and 10 million the year before, how much do you think we’ll need"
If you ever bothered to talk to the Wall Street guys you’ll also discover it’s a matter of how much they can make with no consequence to the manner it was done. Look at Goldman-Sachs. They didn’t care. How about GM, Chrysler or Ford? GM has 4 of the 7 worst cars on the road and the CEO is still making millions. Ford trucks burned in driveways. It only took 8 years to straighten. Chrysler still sucks, It’s a game. They live in their own world.
How about the guy who willing sold Salmonella tainted peanuts and Pistachios? The oil industry successfully lobbied against a $500,000 valve that would have prevented the oil spill currently destroying the ocean, seafood supply and tourism. Somebody I guess was getting a $500,000 bonus. At what expense? We’re the ONLY country that doesn’t require that valve.
Don’t forget about the tax avoidance

yes, we all know that obama picks his cabinet on virtue and not political clout, only capitalism is a system that rewards greed, and yes political self interest is more noble than economic self interest (I fibbed about everything I just said)

Many liberals would secretly love to put a cap on how much one person can make- they just don’t dare utter it. At least not yet. But they would make an exception for themselves of course…

No. I am a liberal who doesn’t believe everything Obama says. Secondly, I do not believe there should be a limit on what we make (It would be unconstitutional) However I do believe in an ideal world, we would all have equal salaries. Republicans are just f*King greedy people.

It’s consistent with their philosophy of: Redistribution. Another technique is to come up with a "number" of dollar a person "NEEDS"… then make it so everything above that amount goes to the government.
Funny - There is NO LIMIT on the amount the GOVERNMENT can take from an individual or corporation, who have invested time, work, sweat and effort… But somehow - the government can look over your shoulder and say: Hmmmm this PROFIT should come to us… we need it more than you do.
Here is a LIBERAL - doing the same thing to the OIL companies. She sees NOTHING wrong with what she’s saying. It’s a slip up, just like OBAMA’s - so I’m sure it later RETRACTED.
