Ive just been made redunadant from my job, I have a £400 bill with an old phone company which I have worked out I can only pay about £5 a month on now! Im living on jobseekers allowance at the moment until I get a new job so everythings very tight.
I spoke to the company and have explained my incomings/ outgoings which is clear that £5 is unfortunately a generous amouny I can pay at the moment.
They have said unless I pay £60 a month they are going to put my case over to a bailiff!! The company seems to be pushing me to something I cant do and its causing me a load of stress.
A friend of mine reckons legally they have to accept my offer and they cant put me to a bailiff even if im only paying £1 a month, is this true?! Im getting real stressed and worried about it, I have moved back to my parents house and cant have bailiffs coming round here )-;
