Isn’t college basically your only chance to determine how much you will earn for the rest of your life? Do you really think that being poor will make you happy?
We love you anyway but always worry about you and want the best for you.

To be quite honest Larry, I do not fully understand myself, however, I guess some people want to do what makes them happy (and what they enjoy) instead of worrying about money. Remember it takes all sorts to make society, we can’t all be doctors, or lawyers, or CEOs.

I much rather work what I have passion for and make a little money than hate my job, Monday - Friday, mandane life making a lot of money for the rest of my life.
Think it this way: Most jobs out there will hire if you have any degree. My husband’s associates degree is Auto Body. When he started working at a dealership, he fainted (and went to the hospital) and no longer can work in that environment. Now he works for a baby formula factory making a little over $20/hour. He got hired easier than the person who had no degree even though my husband’s degree was not specific to his job. However, my husband’s mechanically skills is very useful in his job and is considered one of the best employees because he can troubleshoot and solve it quickly.
Now, my daughter is multi-talented. She wants to be a writer and an artist. She doesn’t want to be a teacher. It’s hard to make money in writing books. But we found out that most writers make more money by communicating. So she will take art classes in high school, study English major with communications minor.
Sometimes you have to pray for creativity and figure it out how to connect your non-making-money passion with a reasonable money-making job.

Everyone doesn’t live for money. Some people are happy doing a job they love. All majors offer the opportunity to make a substantial amount of money. I don’t think it’s the major I just think that some people get degrees and don’t know the moves to make to put themselves in a good position to make good money.
