I was umpiring but i hated it. so now i need another way to make money. i’d be fine with suggestions of stuff to do in the community but I would also really like to know what kind of jobs I would be allowed to work at 15. Some examples of companies would help with each category or what ever. thanks in advance.

Hard to say.. I am 17 and I have a nice job in retail, but most companies only hire people 16+ for jobs like mine. Try searching on About.com for jobs that would fit best for 15 a year old. It may be hard but it wouldn’t hurt to look. And if there is a local skating rink in your area, definitely see if you can apply. One of my friends got hired there at 15.

There are a lot of potential issues for teenagers in work, many of them legal, parents want to be careful about that. There is a lot of help from the site in the box below on this topic, they also have help for all peeps who are searching for work, or who want to change careers.

Be aware of get rich quick schemes - there is no such thing. Any legitimate business takes work and effort on your part and requires building. It takes time to build the foundations of any venture - how much time is dependent on your own efforts and relatively speedy advancement is certainly achievable if you are prepared to put in the hours. (As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.)
