Instead of a sacred religious day??
Do you think Jesus would have wanted it like this???
"Sacred religious day… it was Sacred to the Pagans first." thanks for telling me that…no body on R&S has ever said that before!

It’s just a holiday. What big business does to make a buck from it doesn’t change how or why I celebrate Christmas.

After christians stole it from the pagans.

Presents were always given in Yule.
Since Christianity is a Yule rip-off… You kinda get the picture.
The only thing that has changed is that we normally enjoy more disposable income lately, so we give more gifts :P.

Give to Caesar what is his, and give to God what is his as well. I can celebrate Jesus everyday and still celebrate his birth no matter what they try to do to it.
bless you.

Interesting that you think a Christian is responsible for this happening… when did we receive the power to dictate to corporations what they are or are not going to do?
Jesus is in favor of giving to others….

Corporations will take anything and twist it to make a buck. It’s what they are in business for. As far as Jesus goes He told us to celebrate his death…never his birth.

ZOMG! What a great question! Those ten years in theological seminary have really paid off, my friend. You will no doubt become a great spiritually speaking leader. They are taking the bait and running with it. I have no doubt that you are correct but I can’t remember what your question was right now. I’ll get back to you! (keep up the good work!)
