and only want you to take surveys which they pay you for of course

i have been reading about making money taking surveys online which would be a good side job for me but there are a million different sites that claim to be that which ones are legit if any? do any of them really pay can you really make money this way? some seem ok but then there are some that require me to subscribe to free trials of things and i dont want to do that. anyone out there doing this on the side? any advice or knowledge on this subject will be appreciated!
