I know I’ve heard people say "money doesn’t make people happy," but let’s face it: it’s much better to have lots of money than to be dirt poor. Money makes life so much easier and more convenient. It may not buy you everything, but it sure is a necessity in today’s world when everything requires money.

Money doesn’t have the power to make people happy. Each person is responsible for his/own happiness. As long as you don’t let the money define you or become too reliant on it, the security coming from money can help you worry about more important things.
I’m a strong believer in living well below my means. I spend enough money to live in a clean environment and I’m well fed. It’s okay to splurge sometimes, but it’s good to know that if I fall on hard times, I’ll have a backup fund. I am very happy in this arrangement.

Having a lot of money is a a lot more fun than not having money - but it has nothing to do with happiness.
