I guess it depends on what you view the finer things in life to be. In my opinion, no. I believe them to be the people you love and since I get to spend time with my loved ones every day, I feel blessed to know the real value of life.

If by "finer" things, you are referring to material things, then yes. Yes you are.

I don't need money to enjoy the finer things in life. My relationship with Jesus is free cause He paid the price. I have my family, my church family, a nice comfortable and safe home. I don't have a job that pays a lot but I love it. I have never gone to bed hungry, felt unloved so I am not poor or barely getting by. I trust in Jesus to supply my needs and He has never failed me. These things are the finer things in life.

When you can provide a concrete definition of "the finer things in life," I'll consider the question. No such definition exists. It's a weak phrase.

Its not about missing the finer things in life as in material things. What matters is knowing that you are capable of getting through tough financial times with faith in yourself and knowing that what is important, can't be bought in a department store or car dealership.
A lot of people think that having the "finer things" in life, is what makes them important, they should realize, that having family and friends who love and respect you is far more important.

No. Almost all of the finer things in life are free or nearly so. You don't have to pay for the sky at night or snow in the morning or a kiss on the nose when you're sick. Forgetting that may put you at the mercy of those who seek to profit by convincing you to want whatever it is they have to sell.
