How do i make lots of money in Animal Crossing City Folk? I just started and all I have is a basic blue bed, a sphinx, and a 6 ball shirt.
How much are these worth?
And how do I make money quickkk!

Get many of your friends that have different fruits to give fruit to you!
Then change your date 3 days ahead and it will have fruit grown. Pick those and plant more trees. Make sure the trees you planted are 3 spaces apart. And so on eventualy you can make 100,000Bells and hour. If you have Wifi then check out http://www.animalcrossingcommunity.com You can enteract with other players and some will give you free items such as Bells$$$ and I have found people on there that gave me Millions and millions of bells. one person gave me 100 million bells on there.

you could try merchanting. collect and buy stuff, and sell mroe than its worth.
My friend actually sped his clock up with money in his bank, which increased intrest. not recommnded though.

Just go to Nook's store to check prices, but to make more money, here are some things to do:
Everyday one of the rocks in your town contain 8100 bells in it, but you don't know which one. Just go around with your shovel hitting rock w/ your shovel (once you get one) But before you hit the rock, get right in front of it, dig a hole behind you and next to you, then proceed to hit he rock. This will prevent you from moving backwards when hitting (because you have to hit it 7 times, and it is on a time limit)
The single BEST money maker in the game is foreign fruit, but it takes a long time to build up the trees. To do this one, you must aquire foreign fruit through a friend or from your villagers. To get it from villagers, send a letter to everyone containing a normal fruit from your village (whatever your village starts with) and write in the letter: "How are you?" They will either reply with a shirt or a foreign fruit. If you get a coconut, they can only be planted at the beach (but not in the sand mind you). Once you plant the fruit and fill you village with the foreign trees, you can sell each fruit for 500 bells, and if you have the maximun amount of trees in your village (max for perfect town=200 trees) then you can rake in the cash– (200 trees) x (3 fruit per tree) x (500 bells per fruit) = 300000 bells every three days!
Otherwise just go around catching fish and selling them to bring in a healthy income.
I'm not sure how new you are to the game…but i was reading the other answers and they talk about time travel. This is most definetly a fast way to make money with fruit picking and things of the like, but it does have side effects. Once you time travel turnip prices will not increase for the whole week,(you can buy turnips from a vender on sunday mornings, and sell them on the "stalk" market, which can be a significant profit if you buy a TON of turnips but i just never got into it) some special visitors will not come, weeds will grow and neigbors will move if you travel far enough into the future. I think there a few other negative effects, but if your in to makin' the mulla, then go for it! and don't forget the money rock…that really helped me. If my explanation was confusing, here is a diagram of what you should do with the rock.

only start to hit the rock with your shovel after you have dug the holes. If nothing happens when you strike the rock, move on to another.

1. Collect shells and sell them. This should bring in some bells.
2. Shake trees. Everyday 25 non-fruit trees in your town will drop 100 bells. There are also 5 beehives, if you are good at catching bees then do it, they are worth 2500 bells each. If not, just open your gates and you wont get any bees.
3. Sell unwanted furniture. You can get free furniture several ways: the lost and found, the recycle bin, balloon presents, from neighbours, special events, from trees, etc.
4. Each day, a random rock in your town will have money in it. You can get up to 8,100 bells. Use your shovel and hit the rock, as many times as you can. Make sure you dig some holes behind you so that you don't recoil when you hit the rock.
5. If you have spare fossils or gyroids, sell them to Nook.
6. Pick fruits, catch fish and bugs, then sell them to Nook.
7. On sunday mornings, (6:00am to 12:00pm), Joan can be found selling red and white turnips. Buy some white turnips and during the week ask Nook for the price. Try and sell them for more than you paid to make profit.

-You hold money in your hand then the friend whos town you in pushes save.
-Then you drop the money in his/her town.
-The you go to copper as if to leave as he say okay i will prepare to send you home. Keep pressing the home button on your wii remote
-Once the Wii menu page come up. Click reset
It will reset you then you go back on animal crossing. and the money will be back in your pockets..
-PLus the money in your friends town.
Now you have double!
(You can also put items in your letters)
Also since were in April you could go to the Easter Bunny on the 12th
His furniture is 9000 bells each!
