No way, vets earn LOTS of money, thousands.
People will pay anything for their pets.

No, they make a reasonable amount of money but not as much as conventional docs, which seems some sort of con because to eb a vet the training is longer.

It depends on how well the vet is trained, surroundings (where the vet place is), a specific field of practice and what areas the vet is focusing on. The main salary for a vet is near $75,000.

It depends what you think a 'high salary' is.
They average salary of a vet is extremely higha nd I am currently studying to be a Vet if you have any further questions.
Their salary is around $50, 000 - 500, 000 a year.
Compare that to a measly, $8, 000 of someone working at Kmart.
They work a lot of hours but trust me, that is worth heaps and heaps of money.
Vets are normally rich and if oyu love animals, it is like gettign paid for a passion!
Hope i helped xx Bye

Vets also have high overhead costs to meet. They usually have very high education loans to repay, office lease or mortgage payments, equipment costs, medical supplies cost, employees to pay, property taxes, business license, and more.
The high figures given by other answerers, are most likely gross income rather than net income.

well considering i get charged $200 per stitch in a snake ( big cost for them : a needle and a bit of stitching string) i would think they'd more than pay the bills
