Not unless you didn't read the fine print and didn't understand there would be extra charges for using a debit card.
You can contact the issuer of the debit card and file a transaction dispute.

It's happened to me too. $500.00 too…
It is unfortunately becuase anytime you give the company authorization to take money DIRECTLY out of your account, they are allowed to take out any remaining money you may owe them.
I had to switch my bank account number and be VERY careful where you use your card and who you give yout number to.
