I have a few paper routes out here in the country. During the first tax season, I called my boss and asked if I was getting a T4. She told me that I don't pay taxes on it, so I don't need to list it. This year my mortgage is up for renewal, and my broker asked me why I didn't declare it. I make MAYBE $1200 a year. He said I might be just under the delaration line. What is it? How much before the government gets a cut?
