Well, it depends if you take it seriously..
For example, there are famous psychologists who really are experts in it, and they get a lot of money from their works..
Also, when you're becoming a painter, an architect, an engineer, a teacher, doesn't matter what your occupation is, if you work on it very well and never give up, then you'll get something worth more than money…
You have to love psychology, then you can study it happily and you think studying it is just like a relaxation…
My father is a good example, he's a director of a bank, and he finds his job very entertaining… Not only he gets a lot of money from it, he can stay in the office until late at night, just to work, it's one of his hobbies to work hard…
But then again, you don't have to LIKE psycholgy, if you just study your best (Not hard, don't force yourself) and believe in yourself (Be CONFIDENT), then everything will be okay..
No one can tell you whether psychology can give you a lot of "money", it's your choice..
Any occupation you choose, just believe in yourself, then you'll get what you wanted!
Sorry for being too repetitive, :p
Hope it helps you too!

On avg. they make between $66,987 $87,698 a yr. It also depends on where and how long you've been one. Also if you have a PHD. So your net paycheck estimate would be after medicare, and social security and taxes approximately $2,132.77. With bonuses you can reach about $89,000.
ITs a great career! My cousin is currently getting her Masters for this. She Loves it so far! Good Luck I hope everything works out!

Yes, but that shouldn't be your primary reason for becoming one. Your main reason should be to help people overcome their problems and you should have a certain degree of insight, in addition to the training.

That will be depended on how good you are & the area in which you get you concentration. At this moment there is a lack of psychologists who work with children developmental problems. I'm talking about those who diagnosed children with Asperge, Autism, ADD, AHDD, etc. If one need to see a Dr. or Psychologist in this area, one has to wait for about 6 to 8 months to get an appointment….

A psychologist means that you have your doctorate (Ph.D.) in that field. In the area which I live, they make a good salary, but not as much as you might think. An M.A. or master's is your undergraduate degree with 2-3 years of graduate school. After you attain your license, you would be considered a counselor or therapist. A master's level salary was not enough for me to continue working in the field once I became a mother.
