an hour. The trick is to have a lot of clients!

it depends on where you live and what kind of clients you have…a friend of mine had to pet sit from friday-sunday and spend the night at the persons house bc he didnt want his dogs to be lonely, and she had to sleep in the same bed as the dogs…anways, she got paid like $500 for those three days

When I was in middle school I had my own mini pet sitting business. I made quite a bit of money off of my neighbors. I did a bit more than just pet sitting though. I watched their houses too!
There was tons of demand at the usual holiday times and school holidays.

Try working as an independent contractor to make sure you like it first. Then if you do and you see the demand in your area then start your own business. You must be 18 for some companies to insure you. I drive as far as 10 miles for jobs around my town. I love it and can't think of a better job for myself.
Google pet sitter and your town / state and see how many companies are in your area.
