Of course it is true. Eisenhower warned us, before he vacated the presidency, that if we build our economy around war we will always need to be at war. Well these government contracts and new jobs created in the engineering field are proof enough that Eisenhower was right. We are doomed to always be at war if our jobs are dependent on making war.

This may be your truth but it is not FACT!! The profit margin for most defense contractors is around 12%. You do know the difference between a profit and a profit margin don't you? If not, I suggest you learn exactly the difference and then you decide for yourself if defense contractors are making too much money.

Well yes. Defense contractors are the ones keeping this war going on–let's stop blaming Bush and blame them.

yep, and Bush and his administration are holding back a law that would require any fraud or abuse by the contracters over there to be reported~!!!
he wants them to keep their immunity and not be held accountable for any of the missing money or arms or any of the unlawful acts they have committed, like shoot first, ask questions later~!!
i just dont get it, are Americans really that clueless, or they just dont give a crap anymore~?!!
go figure~!!!

You might stop to consider how you wouldn't be able to prattle on this way if we didn't have defense contractors. Would you be happier in Cuba, Iran, or North Korea?

You're right. It's government by the military-industrial complex, for the military-industrial complex. It's a shame they didn't pay more attention to what the financial complex was doing because it's burning the whole house down.

Yes well what do you expect when you have a government whose foreign policy is largely dictated on what corporations will financially benefit from said policy.
War is a big business. They will only stop when they are forced to stop.
