What is a good money making tip, without cheating? I know about the money rock, so please don't post about that. Please tell me the best way to make money on the game.

Roam the coastline and go fishing, keeping only Red Snappers and Barred Knifejaw… of course, if you see a coelacanth or El Dorado fish, then by all means catch it.
Then sell your catches to Nook.

My favorite way is to sell foreign fruit. If you don't have any, send everybody in your town a letter, and they will start sending you foreign fruits. Just keep sending them until you've got them all. Then bury them to make trees, they can't be too close together or to something else like a house or rock. Until your trees grow you can sell fish, I suggest fishing in the ocean, it's more profitable.

Well, I do usually go for either foreign fruit or IDENTIFIED fossils. For the foreign fruit, I get it either washed ashore or from the villagers, while the fossils do give me quite an easy time to earn a lot of money, as you can find it when you dig in any indent, have it identified, fended off Blathers' request for the fossil and then sell it to Tom Nook, who will pay quite a price. Otherwise, just grow the foreign fruits which sell 500 Bells apiece and and try selling the "local" fruits at 100 Bells.

Plant many foreign fruits, especially coconuts. I have soo many trees at my game. The quickest way is selling fruits, but you can also try catch fish or catching bugs. I don't recommened planting turnips…
